(This talk was given in Spanish) The discipline of design has achieved a visibility, relevance, and responsibility that were unthinkable a few years ago. However, this does not mean that everything is an easy or rosy path; the profession faces some challenges that are global and largely depend on the attitude, ambition, and education of designers.
David has developed his career in the field of strategic design, working for major corporations such as Designit and BBVA, leading the discipline of Service Design and the Business Banking Transformation Design team.
Since 2021, he has been working for IKEA's global Design team, temporarily coordinating the Ventures & Services teams: financial services, Food, Circular Business, Energy, Remote Customer Support, and Returns, and IKEA for Business.
He is known as a proponent of User-Centered Design and works with the purpose of positively impacting the lives of his colleagues, users, all people who buy and use IKEA's services, as well as generating solutions with meaning for society and the planet.
