(This talk was given in Spanish) Discover how BBVA has integrated and scaled Design in recent years to become a team of over 240 designers in 8 countries. BBVA has been investing in the digital transformation of banking for over 10 years. However, this is a broad concept that requires activating different levers to make it accessible. Design has been one of the key levers on which the group firmly bet since 2016.
Currently, the bank has a team of more than 240 designers in 8 countries around the world. This team works every day to understand and analyze people's needs, conceptualize, prototype, and deliver relevant products and services.
Margarita leads BBVA's design team in all the geographies where the bank operates, with more than 200 designers. She is a recognized leader in the world of design with over 22 years of experience in strategic design, digital transformation, and service and product design from a human-centered approach.
Marga has firsthand experience and has influenced the evolution of user experience and design disciplines in Spain and Latin America. She is responsible for creating the team and launching BBVA Experience, a sophisticated design platform to help create digital products and services such as the BBVA mobile application, recognized by Forrester as the best in the world for 5 consecutive years. In 2020, BBVA received a Special Mention in the National Design Awards.
